Community members officially broke in the brand-new Bob McFadden Plaza Saturday morning with a pancake breakfast, a ribbon cutting and cool, refreshing water from the splash pad.

The party was still going on Saturday night with live music, dancing, food, refreshments, and more delightful moisture from the splash pad to wash away the heat of the afternoon.

The Bob McFadden Plaza, which replaces Third Street between Carson and Curry, is intended to be a community gathering place and an attractive draw for locals and visitors alike in Carson City.

The plaza offers quality restaurant dining from The Firkin and Fox and Mom and Pop’s, as well as an exquisite wine selection from Bella Fiore Wines.
