Carson City Sheriff’s Night Out, an annual community event that connects local law enforcement, public safety agencies and nonprofit organizations for a fun public meet and greet at Mills Park, is happening Tuesday, August 4 from 5 p.m. to sundown, generally around 8 p.m.
The community is invited to join the Carson City Sheriff’s Office for this annual free, family-friendly event where residents can meet local law enforcement officers, see emergency vehicles and connect with the people who help keep the community safe.
There will be games, giveaways, live music, free hot dogs, chips and refreshments, K9 demonstrations, community booths, bike and gift card raffles and more. Mills Park is located at 1111 East William Street in Carson City.
“This year’s event is anticipated to be the largest collaboration of nonprofits, support agencies and public safety we have ever had,” said Sheriff Ken Furlong. “This is a result of community-wide participation and collaboration that our community families face.”
The Sheriff’s Office is reminding those who plan to attend that parking will be available along Oxoby Loop, at the Swim Center and Community Center, Seely Loop and the parking lot along E William Street adjacent to Mills Park.
