Carson Mall
The Carson Mall wants to thank all the participants who came out for its second Got Hot Wheels Race Car Race Day on Saturday. The next Hot Wheels race will be Sept. 14.
Racers brought their favorite Hot Wheels, Matchbox or similar-sized car and competed against peer racers for bragging rights and prizes. The race was on a 15-foot downhill race track and was single elimination.
For this and future races, here are the rules:
1. All cars must be obtained through Registration at the Race Registration Desk anytime before the first race. Each car will be assigned a Race Entry Number and Age class.
2. The Race will have six classes:
– 3-7 YRS OLD
– 8 -12 YRS OLD
– 13-17 YRS OLD
– 18-30 YRS OLD
– 30 -49 YRS OLD
– 50-plus
3. Registration for the Hot Wheels Downhill Race will be a $1 donation per car. Each individual, youth or adult, is limited to no more than 10 entries.
4. No modifications (including weights) are allowed on any of the vehicles.
5. All cars will be standard the size of Hot Wheels vehicles.
Rules:
Each race heat will be 6 cars with one designated winner qualifying for a future race heat. Each racer will have a single elimination.
Cars will be the original, non-modified and non-powered car.
No oil, graphite, silicon or any other substance is allowed.
The same car must be used for the entire race.
Gift awards and plaques will be awarded to First, place winners in each class.
All cars will be inspected at the time of entry and will be given a number.
Winners of each race heat will receive a Winners Slip that registers them for the next round.
Winners will be asked to remain in the track areas for the next round of race heats until an eventual winner is determined.
