Eight small earthquakes were reported 7.2 miles east southeast of Carson City on Tuesday morning by seismologists at the Nevada Seismological Lab of the University of Nevada, Reno. The largest was 2.1 at 6:45 a.m.
The quakes happened between 6:45 and 7:45 a.m. and ranged from magnitude .07 to 2.1. The quakes were centered southeast of Carson City and averaged about 11 kilometers deep.
No damage has been reported.
