Lois Linehan

The Carson City School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Lois Linehan as the new vice principal at Eagle Valley Middle School.

Linehan has been the dean of students for Eagle Valley Middle School for the past four years, fostering a positive campus culture by promoting collaboration among faculty, staff and students.

She was previously an eighth-grade Special Education teacher (2014-2019). She served as the TOSA (Teacher on Special Assignment) dean of students for EVMS (2019-2020) and then taught eighth-grade Special Education again for a year before earning the dean position. She is ELAD endorsed and holds endorsements as a Special Education generalist, elementary education k-8 and school administrator.

She earned a bachelor’s in Special Education, a master’s in Learning and Technology and a master’s in Educational Leadership from Western Governors University (2013, 2017 and 2020 respectively). Her husband is a Marine Veteran and they have three boys, one who graduated from Carson High this past June and the other two attending schools within the Carson City School District.

As the new vice principal at Eagle Valley Middle School, Linehan will replace Mr. Greg Thetford, who recently joined Douglas County School District and was announced as the new principal at Carson Valley Middle School in Minden, Nev.
