A fundraiser to benefit wildland firefighters and their families will be held Friday, July 29, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Red’s Old 395 Grill, located at 1055 South Carson Street in Carson City.

The family-oriented event will fear Smokey the Bear, a wild beard contest, and a raffle.

All money raised at the event goes directly to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation (WFF), which was organized to help families of firefighters killed or injured in the line of duty.

Friday’s WFF fundraiser at Red’s is sponsored by Spouses and Partners of Wildland Firefighters.
