The winner of the July competition was "Montmartre” by Anke Simpson.

Going with the theme “street photography” local photo shooters looked to urban landscapes and hit the pavement for July’s Carson City Photo Club competition.

As for judging, there was a tie for second place. The winners are:

The Carson City Photo Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month (no meeting in December) at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office, 911 East Musser street. Use west entrance. All levels of photographers are welcome.

The theme for August is “clouds.” Become a member for $15 per year and submit your 8×10 matted photo taken within the last year to enter in the competition. Go here for more information.
