By Kids & Horses

Here at Kids & Horses in Douglas County’s Carson Valley, our volunteers are a valuable member of the Kids & Horses family. They give so much of their time, energy, and love to our horses and clients, and we could not be more grateful. Each of them have their unique stories of how they came to the ranch and what experiences have made an imprint on their hearts.
We wanted to share some of these stories with you, and give a huge shout out to all of our volunteers! Not every volunteer’s story is shared, but each and every one is a rock star! (You know who you are). We couldn’t do it without you, so thank you for all the hard work you put in to keeping Kids & Horses proudly serving the community and those in need!
See the story below.
We encourage you to not only thank our volunteers for all their hard work, but also get to know them as the incredible people they are.
And if these stories inspire you, please call us or visit us online at https://kidsandhorses.org/get-involved/ to learn more about how you can join our amazing group of volunteers and help change lives!
Kids & Horses is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit serving Northern Nevada and it’s surrounding communities. We have been providing equine assisted services to children and adults with disabilities since 1999. We rely on the generosity of our community and donor support to fund our programs and services.
We are always working to add new programs to help those in need. We provide memory loss workshops together with Connected Horse, we offer comprehensive life skills classes to high school aged students with disabilities, summer camps, and more!
