On Friday, July 11, 2025, deputies from the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) Western Command Division received a report of fraudulent bank activity from a victim residing outside of Lyon County. The victim reported multiple unauthorized transactions totaling over $6,000 withdrawn from their bank account.

Around the same time, residents in Stagecoach, Nev., reported missing mail from mailboxes within a residential neighborhood. The combination of victim cooperation, banking documentation, and video surveillance footage played a critical role in identifying suspects involved in both the fraudulent financial activity and mail theft.

On July 16, 2025, members of the LCSO Investigations Division, Major Crimes and Special Investigations Units, executed a search warrant at a residence in Stagecoach. During the search, deputies located evidence substantiating the ongoing mail theft and fraud activities in both Stagecoach and Dayton, Nev.

As a result of the investigation, the following individuals were arrested and booked into the Lyon County Jail:

    Charges: Use of Identifying Information Causing Harm (NRS 205.463), Conspiracy to Commit Fraud (NRS 199.480)
    Bail: $102,500
  •   Joshua Daniel Schultz
    Charges: Mail Theft (NRS 205.975), Conspiracy to Defraud Another (NRS 199.480) Bail: $7,500
  •   Tiffany Ann Monson
    Charges: Mail Theft (NRS 205.975), Conspiracy to Defraud Another (NRS 199.480), Obtain and Use Personal Identity Information of Another for Unlawful Purposes (NRS 205.463)
    Bail: $32,500 This investigation remains active, and additional victims may still be unidentified.
