Some irrigation system issues related to a recent facility conversion of irrigation from reclaimed water to potable water are being experienced in the Lone Mountain Cemetery area, Carson City officials said Tuesday.
The low pressure situation has caused some of the turf to be stressed, although it is still being watered to minimize the impact, said Scott Fahrenbruch, deputy director of the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department.
The turf is not permanently damaged or dying, and will recover once the problems are resolved. The Department is working with the Carson City Public Works Department to make the necessary improvements in as timely a manner as possible.
