It’s Backpack Attack time! Each year Carson City Soroptimist gathers hundreds of new backpacks, filling each with school and hygiene supplies. The filled backpacks are given to local elementary, middle, and high schools to distribute as needed.
People looking to give back to our community can help by donating new backpacks, supplies, or money to buy missing items. Deadline for this year’s donation drive is Friday, August 7.
In Carson City, donations may be dropped off at Platinum Salon & Spa at 716 N Carson St, Edward Jones Investments at 412 E Musser St #1, Carson City Toyota-Scion at 2590 S Carson St, or Marilyn Lewis State Farm Insurance at 321 W Winnie Ln #106. In Minden, take donations to Wells Fargo Advisors LLC at 1645 Hwy 395 #A.
