One hundred years to the day after the battleship USS Nevada was christened, the state for which it was named paid tribute one more time.

Under a cloudy sky in Carson City, a crowd of more than 100 watched as dignitaries unveiled a new plaque at the USS Nevada Memorial listing the names of those sailors killed during the bombing at Pearl Harbor, the ship’s battle stars and its Medal of Honor and Navy Cross recipients.
