Carson Valley area casinos reported a drop in monthly gaming “win” for May, according to the Nevada Gaming Control Board on Thursday. Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and others in Douglas County except Lake Tahoe report a 9.98 percent decrease compared to May 2011. Casinos in May took in $8,248, 755. In May 2011 the “win” was $9,162,840.

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $885,086,463 for the month of May 2012. This amounts to a 10.05 percent decrease compared to May 2011, when licensees reported a gaming win of $984,006,380. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2011 through May 31, 2012), gaming win has increased 1.26 percent.
