A 23-year-old man was arrested Monday for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

Deputies were dispatched at around 10:20 p.m. to a North Roop Street address for a battery call. Dispatch advised the reporting party stated they were locked out of the house and provided a name of the suspect. Dispatch added the reporting party had the suspect pinned to the ground.

Deputies arrived and observed the two men near a shed. The reporting party had a PVC pipe over the suspect’s chest, preventing him from moving, the report states.

The deputy told the reporting party to move and then placed the suspect into wrist restraints. The deputy walked the suspect to the front yard and observed a laceration on the left side of his chest, the report states. He had cuts to his knees, redness on his right eye and a small cut on his left shoulder.

He was highly intoxicated and emotional, the report states. Being that the suspect had multiple cuts after being in a fight, the deputy contacted Carson City Fire Department medics to have him evaluated, the report states.

While medics evaluated the man, the deputy spoke with the reporting party, who said that the suspect rents a room in the house. He said when he arrived home he noticed the suspect had locked him out of the house and that the roommate was highly intoxicated.

The reporting party said he walked into the backyard and the man exited the house. He said the suspect took a knife and began to cut his chest. He said the man then attacked him, running toward him. He said he grabbed the man and pinned him to the fence. He said the man continued to try and fight, and that he held him down with a PVC pipe until law enforcement arrived, the report states.

The RP added the man’s girlfriend had just walked away and that she told him the man had bitten her while they were walking home, the report states. The deputy located the woman walking away from the property.

She was uncooperative but told that deputy that while she and the man were walking home from the bars, he bit her on the left side of her back. The deputy observed a bite mark on the left side of the woman’s back. She told the deputy not to take a picture of her injury.

The deputy re-contacted with the suspect, read him his Miranda rights and he agreed to speak with he deputy. He then refused to answer any of the deputy’s questions, the report states.

Based on the statements from reporting party and the woman and her injuries, the deputy told the man he was under arrest for domestic battery. He was taken to the hospital for medical clearance and taken to jail. Bail; $3,137.

— A 29-year-old woman was arrested Monday for misdemeanor DUI and other offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.

At 11:02 p.m. a CCSO deputy was traveling east on East William near the intersection of Humboldt Lane and observed a vehicle’s left running light was not operational as it was nighttime. While the right side was illuminated, the deputy also observed the rear license plate had an orange/red 2024 “09” sticker attached to it. The deputy decided to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle for tail lights required and improperly displayed license plate.

The deputy made contact with the driver and she provided her driver’s license, which was found on the driver’s seat. As soon as the deputy began talking to her, he immediately could smell an overwhelming odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The driver had red and watery eyes, appeared to be lethargic and slow to movement, signs that she was under the influence of marijuana, the report states.

The deputy asked if she had consumed any marijuana lately. She told the deputy she smoked weed a few hours prior. Due to this, the report states the deputy began a DUI investigation.

She agreed to standardized field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment on the tests. She provided a preliminary breath test of .000, confirming the deputy’s suspicion that she was impaired by marijuana. Due to the object signs the deputy saw on the woman and her performances during the SFSTs, she was arrested for suspicion of DUI (drugs). At jail she consented to an evidentiary blood draw. Bail: $1,137.

— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday for misdemeanor contempt of court warrants issued July 2, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.

— A 59-year-old Washoe Valley man was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor bench warrant issued Oct. 16 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.

— A 47-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Nov. 8, 2022 out of Carson City Justice Court. No bail hold in lieu of hearing.

— A 29-year-old Sparks man was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Nov. 19, 2024 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $5,000 cash.

— A 34-year-old man, Timothy Joseph Cave, was transferred from Washoe County Jail for a felony contempt of court bench warrant issued Nov. 5, 2024 out of Carson City Justice Court. No bail hold in lieu of hearing.

— A Reno man was booked into Carson City Jail after being transferred from Washoe County Jail for a misdemeanor contempt of court bench warrant issued Jan. 8, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000 cash.
