Say hello to Chico, a spirited and lovable 2-year-old Shar Pei who’s patiently waiting for his forever home. With a playful personality and a heart full of love, Chico wins over everyone he meets. He’s a true example of resilience, currently recovering from entropion surgery to improve his vision while under the care of our clinic.
Chico does face ongoing medical challenges that require consistent care. He has a visual impairment, chronic ear infections, and a skin condition called generalized Demodex. These conditions mean he’ll need regular medications and potentially specialized veterinary attention. His future family will need to work closely with their vet and be ready to manage and support these lifelong needs.
Despite these hurdles, Chico’s warmth and charm shine through. He’s a sweet, friendly companion who dreams of finding a loving family that will embrace him for who he is and provide the care he deserves. If you’re ready to open your heart and home to this special boy, Chico is ready to give you his unconditional love in return.
