Carson City Fire Department, sheriff’s deputies and the Nevada Highway Patrol responded Sunday afternoon to a motorcycle reported down in the area of Highway 50 West near Golf Club Drive in the eastbound lane.
Carson City dispatch was alerted at around 1:45 p.m. of the single-vehicle accident west of Golf Club Drive. A motorist told dispatch the rider is conscious and breathing with lacerations on his arms and side.
Arriving Carson City Fire Department personnel evaluated the rider’s injuries and are taking him by ground ambulance to the hospital. The eastbound lane of US-50 West was temporarily closed to allow for emergency crews. Motorists can expect delays.
