It is never too early to think about Christmas and the holidays and this last week of June is no exception with the launch Monday of ticket sales aboard the 2017 Polar Express via the V&T Railway.

The holiday season arrives beginning Saturday, Nov. 18 with the final ride on Saturday, Dec. 30. Join the V&T on any of its evening rides at 5:00 pm, 6:30 pm and 8:00 pm Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays (and one Wednesday).

The adventure begins from the Carson City Eastgate Depot. During the holiday season, characters, entertainment and Santa bring the story to life, with a souvenir silver sleigh bell to remember the journey. The one-hour long rides are fun for the whole family.

If you’d like a more intimate experience aboard The Polar Express, book your tickets for the VIP Parlor Car, which accommodates 30 passengers and includes a keepsake hot chocolate mug and dedicated time with Santa and his elves. These tickets sell out fast.

Coach tickets are: $46/adult, $36/child (ages 2-12), children 24 months and under who sit on an adult’s lap are free. VIP: $82/adult, $72/child.

There’s also Twilight Trains this year providing discounted tickets, go here for information.
