According to the U.S. National Weather Service, radar has spotted storm development along the Sierra from Mammoth north to South Lake Tahoe, which could hit Douglas-Carson-Reno area between 2 and 6 p.m. tonight.

As we’ve seen in recent years, dry thunderstorms and lightning strikes are a major threat to our desert home, so please be on the look out for any lighting strikes that may catch fire.
