MaryLou Schindler's "Horses and Rainbows” was the top vote-getter in this month's Carson City Photo Club competition.

Going with the theme “rainbows,” local photographers set out to capture a colorful array of their best work for this month’s Carson City Photo Club competition, which included a tie for third place.

The winning photos are:

First Place: “Horses and Rainbows” MaryLou Schindler (see photo below)

Second Place: “Journey to the Pot of Gold” Cathy Fisher

Third Place: “Two are Better than One” Anke Simpson

Third Place: “Rainbow Kitty” Monique Giron

Winner’s Choice: “Mini Golf Rainbow” Jessie Brendel

The Carson City Photo Club meets at 6 p.m. on the first Tuesday of every month, except December, at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Ormsby Room, 911 East Musser Street (use west entrance.)

All levels of photographers are welcome. The theme for July is “Street Photos.”
