Thomas Joseph (Joe) Lindsey (86) of Carson City, Nevada passed away on 4/12/2026 in a tragic accident with his long-time friend Delois Rose in Pleasant Grove, California.

Joe was born in Reform, Alabama to Lula Mae Shaw and Ellis Levi Lindsey on 9/11/1939.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan Irene Lindsey; grandson Michael Brentlinger; brothers Raymond, Claudie, Levi and Jack Lindsey; sisters, Wilma Yerby and Edith Snider.  Survivors include daughters, Joanne and Sandy Lindsey; grandchildren, Lindsey Brentlinger Ramirez and Joshua Stinson; great grandchildren, Myles Ramirez and Haley Mae Sinson; brother, George Lindsey; sister, Mary Vickery and many nieces and nephews.

Joe was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked as a lather for many years. He was an avid do-it-yourselfer and loved construction projects, building his own home, RV garage and working on home remodeling projects. He took great joy in carpentry, creating doll houses and crib beds for his grandchildren and art pieces out of horseshoes. He was always available to lend a hand to family and friends and had a large network of both. He enjoyed boating, water skiing and traveling in his RV.  In his later years he enjoyed spending his afternoons with the Comstock Cowboys in Virginia City or at the Elks Lodge.

Joe was remembered in a private celebration among family and will be laid to rest at Waltons Chapel of the Valley Cemetery. Gone, but never forgotten, he lives on in our memories and hearts forever.
