A small brush fire was reported Sunday evening in the backyard of a residence in the 1800 block of North Nevada Street, according to Carson City dispatch. The fire is now extinguished.
Reported at 6:58 p.m., a resident told dispatch that a large fire was burning in a backyard. At 7:08 p.m. a Carson City Fire Department battalion chief said the fire is now out.
Arriving firefighters were cleaning up any hotspots.
