A six-week-old infant died early this morning, and the death is under investigation according to Carson City Sheriff Kenny Furlong.
First responders were called to an apartment at 2990 Menlo Drive at approximately 12:30 Monday morning on a report of an infant who wasn’t breathing. Furlong said extensive efforts to revive the child were unsuccessful. An autopsy was performed today, and Furlong said they are awaiting the results, which could take a few weeks.
