  • The Pro Men Backcountry race kicked-off at 8:30 a.m.
  • The Pro Women Backcountry race started at 8:40 a.m.
  • Rain couldn't stop kids and parents from cruising during The Kids Fun Ride

Professional races mixed in with some family-friendly fun capped off the third annual Epic Rides Carson City Off-Road mountain bike racing circuit Sunday in downtown Carson City.

The Pro Men Backcountry race began at 8:30 a.m., while the Pro Women Backcountry race followed at 8:40 a.m.

The top-five finishers in both categories earned a grand prize of $1,000 and the first-place finishers earned up to $5,000.

Kids and parents didn’t let the rain and cloudy weather ruin a happy Father’s Day in the state capital, as The Kids Fun Ride began shortly after the women’s race at 8:45 a.m.

The Four Peaks Brewing Company will hold its awards party at 1 p.m. to conclude the three-day event packed with thrills and excitement.
