This Saturday would have traditionally been the date of the 23rd Taste of DownTown, hosted by Advocates to End Domestic Violence. However, the date has been changed to July 23.

In honor of Advocates’ would-be 23rd anniversary, the first 23 people who purchase tickets online this Saturday, June 18, will receive a free Advocates to End Domestic Violence water bottle.

The Taste of Downtown is a fundraiser for the domestic violence shelter program in Carson City.

The proceeds assist with providing services to victims and their families. The Taste provides ticket holders the opportunity to stroll downtown Carson City, “taste” a sample from the participating area restaurants, wander through local shops, and listen to a variety of musical groups throughout the 13 blocks of the event. See the website here.

Tasting begins at 5:30 p.m., and ends at 9 p.m. with judging results to follow. A event map is included with all the details of the event. Please be kind and consider that one ticket equates to one shelter night and do not share your ticket. Please remember, one ticket per person.

As in past years, live music will be supplied by multiple bands. Come and choose your favorite band of the evening on July 23.
