Meet Levi, Nevada Humane Society’s Pet of the Week. Levi is a sweet and timid soul hoping to find a forever family that can shower him with love and patience while helping him build his confidence. With his playful spirit and love forattention, Levi’s ready to become someone’s perfect companion.

Levi came into our care in early May after spending a year with his previous owner, who sadly had to surrender him due to housing restrictions. While he’s had a bit of a rocky start, Levi has shown us his amazing potential and loving nature. He’s house-trained, active, and thrives on being around people. He’s treat-motivated (great for training sessions!) and enjoys wiggly playtime once he feels comfortable in new surroundings.

Levi has lived with a toddler and has showed nothing but playful and positive interactions. He doesn’t mind being crated when left alone or when guests visit. He’s also had friendly and playful encounters with dogs of all sizes at the dog park, though a planned introduction would be key if you have another furry friend. Cats, on the other hand, might not be his best roommates, as they may just be a little too fun to chase.

While Levi is making great strides, he’ll need a family that’s willing to work with him on a few things, like socializing with new people, improving his walking etiquette, and building his confidence in unfamiliar environments. Fireworks and being home alone can also make him nervous, but with time, patience, and support, Levi’s fears can fade away.

This playful pup loves car rides and would make a great companion for an active adopter who enjoys long walks, outdoor play, and plenty of treats to share. He’s been with us at our Carson City campus for a bit now, and we’d love for him to meet his match soon.
