Carson City Public Works
Carson City Public Works would like to notify the public that Tuesday it experienced an electrical failure in the water pump station located in the Goni area of the city. Public Works has applied a temporary fix to the problem with the permanent solution expected to arrive Thursday morning.
This water pump provides supply to the water tank that serves the extreme northern portion of Carson City. The affected area is shown on the attached map as highlighted in light blue. We are requesting that residents in the affected area stop all landscape irrigation and restrict domestic water usage for the next 24 hours to allow the water tank to fill back up.
Public Works is assigning all available resources to the resolution of this issue and we anticipate the shortage will be resolved within 24 hours. We apologize for the inconvenience caused.
