The Las Vegas Sun reports this morning that Nevada’s budget crisis may worsen after leaders took a gamble and assumed the federal government would kick in $88.5 million in Medicaid money to help pay for health services to the poor, mentally disabled and elderly. It turns out that the bill which would have helped Nevada and 30 other states with the costs, had the Medicaid money stripped by conservative Democrats in the House.
