The Nevada Day Store and Carson Now hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony and celebration at their new offices Thursday, complete with a performance by Carson High School Cheer and a donation to holiday with a hero.

A total of $2,800 was raised for the annual Holiday with a Hero, in which children are taken on a holiday shopping spree by a local first responder, and a check was presented.

In addition, hundreds of pairs of socks were donated, sourced from a community sock drive to help commemorate the celebrations.

The Nevada Day Store is home to art, fashion, jewelry, home goods and more, all made or designed right here in the Silver State.

Nevada Day Inc. is a small Non-Profit 501c3 organization, and its board works throughout the year to provide the community with the best parade and celebration of any statehood in the union. You can show your support by donning a Battle Born shirt or Nevada jewelry, all offered at the Nevada Day Store, the proceeds of which goes back to Nevada Day Inc.

To donate to the Nevada Day non-profit organization, you can also make an online donation here.
