
A 59-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Tuesday on a felony warrant issued the same day out of Victorville District Court in San Bernardino County, Calif., on suspicion of committing illegal sex acts.
Arrested at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office was Richard Lee Janzen. His arrest was part of a long term investigation involving detectives from San Bernardino County. Over two days, Carson City sheriff’s detectives and the Special Enforcement Team were involved, said Lt. Brian Humphrey. The crimes were allegedly committed in California. Janzen is a Carson City resident.
The warrant and criminal complaint was filed June 2 charging Janzen with four counts of 288A, PC-F, of the California Penal Code. He is awaiting extradition to appear in Victorville District Superior Court. Bail: $500,000.
In unrelated arrests made by deputies: A 24-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at around midnight in the area of Ruth Street and Willard Lane on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and violation of probation conditions.
According to the arrest report, an officer was called to the area regarding a woman throwing clothes and cursing.
The officer asked the woman for identification, in which she stated she is on probation, was drunk and was ready to go to prison.
Two women approached the deputy and the suspect, when the suspect charged at them in an aggressive manner, according to the arrest report. Bail: $3,242.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 10:31 p.m. in the 3300 block of South Carson Street on misdemeanor warrant charges of violation of a suspended sentence and failure to appear on a traffic warrant issued out of Dayton Township Court. Bail: $2,000.
— A 21-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 10:45 p.m. in the 1400 block of Rand Avenue on a misdemeanor warrant charge, contempt of court, issued May 27, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 3:26 p.m. in the 2400 block of College Parkway on misdemeanor charges of driving on a suspended license, speeding 21 mph or over, and a Lyon County bench warrant issued March 25, 2015.
According to the arrest report, an officer visually observed a motorcycle going west on College Parkway, with speeds of approximately 60 mph in a 40 mph zone, the arrest report states. Radar confirmed the motorcycle was going 64 mph, the arrest report states.
The deputy made contact with the rider. Dispatch advised he had a confirmed warrant for his arrest out of Lyon County for failure to appear. Bail: $1,114.
— A 70-year-old Gardnerville man was arrested Tuesday, 5:58 p.m. in the area of I-580 at the Fairview off ramp on misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. The man allegedly used a billy club to hit a victim. Bail: $3,137.
— A 77-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday, 2 p.m. in the 1400 block of rand Avenue on misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and trespassing. The woman was allegedly intoxicated and yelling at customers entering a gas station convenience store. Bail: $484.
— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 6:10 p.m. in the 2600 block of Lockheed Way on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said. According to the arrest report, officers were called to the 3900 block of Pheasant Drive in reference to a battery.
Officers spoke with the victim who said she and her husband were involved in a dispute in which hie physically struck her in the upper and center portion of her back with a closed fist. She said her husband has been stressed out lately about money issues. She then showed the officer her back and what appeared to be bruising consistent with being hit. A photo was taken of the injury and she was provided information about Advocates to End Domestic Violence, the arrest report states.
Officers made contact with the man, who denied being physical and striking his wife. Based on the evidence of injury, he was arrested. Bail: $3,137.
