UPDATE: Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies responded early Monday afternoon to the 2300 block of Blue Haven Lane for a structure fire.
Called into dispatch at 12:10 p.m., multiple fire engines responded. Calls to dispatch advise smoke was coming from the roof. The homeowner was told to evacuate.
First responders confirmed the single story residence had smoke coming from the attic. At 12:27 p.m., firefighters report the fire was knocked down.
Motorists should stay clear of the area to allow firefighters access.
Traffic is blocked at Colorado and Blue Haven streets.
