A Carson City man, who had warrants for his arrest issued earlier this year for domestic battery and criminal contempt was taken into custody early Wednesday for domestic battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

The 23-year-old suspect was “highly combative” at the time of the arrest, kicking officers, screaming, using profanity and threatening to fight, the arrest report states. He was tasered after several officers attempted to restrain him as he continued to resist arrest. He had tried to escape earlier through a framed window and door at a residence in the 4700 block of South Carson Street when officers arrived to investigate a domestic battery.

The victim told officers than man got on top of her, choked and then punched her several times. Officers observed red marks on the woman’s neck and right side of her face, the arrest report states. Photos were taken of her injuries. Bail: $7,137.

— A 50-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail on Tuesday, 9:10 a.m. on two misdemeanor probation violation warrants issued March 17, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $6,000.

— A 25-year-old Carson City man was booked Tuesday into Carson City Jail on a misdemeanor warrant, contempt of court, issued March 6, 2013 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.

— A 27-year-old Silver Springs man was arrested Tuesday, 11:03 a.m. in the 8000 block of Highway 50 East on a misdemeanor warrant, contempt of court, issued April 22, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $365.

— A 22-year-old Carson City woman was booked Tuesday into Carson City jail, 10:45 a.m. on a misdemeanor warrant, contempt of court, issued May 26, 2015 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
