Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies responded Tuesday morning to a brush fire in the 2700 block of Conestoga Drive.

Called in as a fence on fire in a field at 9:08 a.m., multiple fire engines and a brush unit responded. Light smoke was seen coming from the area. Winds are gusting around 30 mph in town.

The fire size at the time Carson City Fire Department arrived was around 10 feet by 10 feet and moving at a moderate rate of speed. Forward progress was stopped at 9:20 a.m., according to a battalion chief on scene.
