The V&T Steam Engine #25 will be running all weekend if you want to take a ride. It’s also opening weekend for the Virginia and Truckee that departs from the Eastgate Depot in Carson City for Virginia City. Round trips sell out fast, so make sure to get a reservation if you want to go.

- Memorial Day Specials at Empire Ranch Golf Course (free 18 holes with Military I.D.; free bucket of balls if wearing red, white, and blue; free draft beer if wearing camouflage)
- Carson City BMX races at the Livermore (Edmonds) Sports Complex (Signups 9am-10am)
- Virginia and Truckee #25 Steam Engine Rides at the Nevada State Train Museum (10am-4pm; $8, $4 kids 11 and under)
- Gondola Rides at Heavenly Mountain Resort, South Lake Tahoe (10am-4pm)
- V&T Roundtrip Train Rides from Carson City to Virginia City – leaves from Carson City Eastgate Depot: on Flint Drive, off U.S. Highway 50 East (depart Carson City 10am- Depart Virginia City Depot 3pm; tickets limited, $52, seniors and veterans $48, kids 3-16 $32)
- Moved to Fallon: Memorial Day Weekend National Team Roping Tour at Fuji Park
- Bingo fundraiser for Meals on Wheels at Carson City Senior Center (doors 11am, 12:30-4pm; $10, must be 21+)
- Annual Memorial Day Horseshoe Tournament and Pig Roast at Ed’s Doghouse (tourney sign up 11am, 12pm start, $20 per team; roast 3pm-?, side dishes welcome)
- Sunday Funday: Free game of pool with drink purchase at Westside Pour House
- Barony of Fal Dare, Amtgard Live Action Role Play Group at Mills Park on Seely Loop (1pm-5pm; newcomers welcome, for info email FalDareMonarchy@gmail.com)
