Around 150 northern Nevada students will be turning the Nevada State Legislature grounds in Carson City into one of the nation’s biggest farmers markets this Thursday, May 15 at Green Our Planet’s third annual Northern Nevada Giant Student Farmers Market.
Currently active in 416 Nevada-based schools, libraries and community organizations, Green Our Planet has impacted more than 200,000 Nevada students by bringing its hands-on STEM curriculum to communities and educating students in science, conservation, nutrition and real-world business skills.
The event is Thursday, May 15, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nevada State Legislature, 401 South Carson Street, Carson City.
Green Our Planet is a non-profit that uses school garden and hydroponic STEM programs that teach students about sustainability and financial literacy.
