On Thursday, May 5, uniformed patrol deputies with the Carson City Sheriff’s Office arrested Morla and Flores while in possession of a stolen vehicle.
Morla and Flores had previously been identified as suspects involved in the passing and manufacturing of counterfeit $100 United States currency throughout the northern Nevada region during the past several months but could not be located, said Carson City Sheriff’s Office Lt. Brian Humphrey.
Sheriff’s Office detectives applied for and were granted a search warrant for the motel room where the suspects were staying. In the motel room detectives, deputies and Secret Service agents discovered the lab that the two suspects were using to manufacture the counterfeit currency, said Humphrey.

The amount of passed counterfeit currency involved with both of the suspects along with other individuals involved with them is not being disclosed, but was substantial.
Morla and Flores are both cooperating with detectives and Secret Service agents during this investigation. They have been charged at the local level on numerous charges and federal charges for the manufacturing of counterfeit United States currency are pending. The investigation is still active.
