The Lake Valley Fire Protection District (LVFPD) will honor the life and service of Fire Engineer Neil Schnaible with a dignified memorial procession on Friday, May 8. Engineer Schnaible passed away on May 4, following a medical emergency that occurred while on duty on April 29.
The procession will begin at Renown Regional Medical Center (Mill Street) in Reno at 9:00 a.m., traveling southbound on Interstate 580, and will conclude on Emerald Bay Road in South Lake Tahoe.
This procession provides an opportunity for family, friends, and members of the fire service to come together to honor Engineer Schnaible’s dedication, service, and commitment to his community.
Please note: This is a private procession. The department respectfully asks that the public not join or participate in the procession itself. Those wishing to pay their respects are encouraged to do so safely from along the procession route.
“We appreciate the community’s understanding and support as we honor our brother in the fire service,” said LVFPD.
