Carson City, NV – The Carson City Fire Department and multiple agencies are hosting the 3rd Annual Wildfire Education/Preparedness Workshop for the community.

Topics presented include the 2025 wildfire season outlook, risk reduction efforts, and what you can do to reduce the threat of wildfires.

Residents are encouraged to register for the free workshop to help prepare for wildfires in our community. Register at carson.org/wildfire.

The public is invited to attend the workshop on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Brewery Arts Center, Performance Hall, at 449 W. King St. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. Presentations begin at 5:30 p.m. Attendance is free.

This event is partnered with the UNR, Reno Extension – Living with Fire Program, Nevada Division of Forestry, Carson City Emergency Management, Carson City Parks, Recreation & Open Space, and the Carson City Fire Department.

Local agencies and volunteer programs will be available to answer questions.
