Carson City is accepting letters of intent to apply for the Fiscal Year 2027 Community Support Services Grant (CSSG) program. The CSSG program supports services that provide a substantial benefit to Carson City residents.
Eligible applicants include Carson City government departments and nonprofit organizations serving Carson City residents. Proposed programs must operate within Carson City boundaries.
The program project period is July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029. Deadline to apply is April 27, 2026, at 4 p.m. Letters of Intent must be submitted to grants@carsoncity.gov. The form is available online at carsoncity.gov/CCSG. Submission of a Letter of Intent or application does not guarantee funding.
Letters of Intent will be reviewed for program alignment and consistency with Board-established priorities. Applicants whose proposals best align with program priorities will be invited to submit a full application. Specific performance measures will be required in the grantapplication to assess outcomes and impacts.
In accordance with Board direction, funding will be prioritized in the following order:
- Statutorily mandated services
- City-supported, system-critical programs
- Dental services
- Other qualifying programs, as funding allows
Proposals must address at least one of the following priority areas:
- Court Appointed Special Advocates (Juveniles)
- Domestic Violence Advocacy
- Child Advocacy/Forensic Interview Services
- Preventive Child and Family Support Services
- Mental and Behavioral Health Services
- Transportation services to improve access to healthcare and food
- Dental Services
