Linda Buchanan, founder of Catmandu and feline friend Rascal sat down recently with Cortney Bloomer, host of It’s Your City, to talk about the cat rescue organization based in Carson City.
Founded in 2014, Catmandu is one of a small but growing number of facilities around the country that are changing the way we care for homeless cats. Instead of keeping them in individual steel cages that severely stress the cats, Catmandu provides them with a homey, cage-free environment that is designed to meet their physical, mental and emotional needs.
Catmandu is completely community supported nonprofit organization and doesn’t receive government funding or support from other organizations.
