A Carson City man with multiple warrants for his arrest, including felony domestic battery, was arrested Sunday night, a sheriff’s deputy said.
Taken into custody at 9:25 p.m. in the 400 block of West Winnie Lane was Fernando Luna-Ortiz. He had the following warrants for his arrests: Felony domestic battery third offense, gross misdemeanor willful injury to property, misdemeanor contempt of court, and two counts misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence. Bail: $20,840.

— A 43-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 4:17 a.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and hit and run.
According to the arrest report, a witness reported seeing a vehicle hit the cement barrier on I-580 southbound. The vehicle continued, with a flat tire, where the reporting party followed them to the parking lot of Walmart.
Arriving deputy observed the woman was unsteady on her feet, showed signs of impairment and had a moderate odor of alcohol. The woman denied hitting anything and said she had a flat tire. She submitted to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment.
She provided a preliminary breath test of .100. She was arrested for suspicion of DUI. Officers retrieved evidence of the crash, and several scuff marks. At jail she provided evidentiary breath samples of .125 and .111. Bail: $1,774.
— A 50-year-old Roseville, Calif., man was arrested Sunday, 10:17 a.m. in the 800 block of Travis for a misdemeanor warrant issued April 2001 out of Hawthorne Township Court. Bail: $905.
— A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, April 2, 7:17 a.m. in the area of 20 College Parkway for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI. A Carson City dispatcher, who was a reporting witness, observed the driver swerving and failing to maintain a lane, nearly hitting several other vehicles, speeding up and slowing down, nearly hitting a curb and light pole and North Carson at Long streets.
The suspect told deputies she was coming home from Tahoe and had two drinks. She showed sign of impairment and said she did not want to participate in standardized field sobriety tests.
She initially declined a preliminary breath test. She was told that she could have her license suspended up to a year if she declined. She provided a partial sample with a .137 and was arrested. At jail she refused to consent to evidentiary testing. A search warrant was granted to retrieve two vials of blood. Bail: $1,137.
— A 35-year-old Stagecoach man was arrested Sunday, 12:54 p.m. in the 7000 block of Highway 50 East for a misdemeanor warrant issued in February 2017. Bail: $3,000.
— A 57-year-old Carson City man was arrested Sunday, 7:17 p.m. in the 500 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of violation of probation conditions. Dispatch advised the man was not allowed to enter a bar or casino as part of his probation conditions. The man was found inside a casino. Bail: $1,000.
— A 32-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Sunday, 11:15 p.m. for misdemeanor suspicion of violation of probation.
According to the arrest report, the woman had probation conditions with the Department of Alternative Sentencing, including not to consume alcohol or drugs. The woman was asked if she had been drinking. The woman said she had not. She provided a preliminary breath test of .228. Bail: $3,000.
— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 4:59 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Carson Street for gross misdemeanor suspicion of battery on a protected person and misdemeanor resisting a peace officer with violence.
According to the arrest report, deputies attempted to serve two warrants.
The suspect was told he was under arrest, He ignored. When deputies attempted to grab the man to arrest him, he hit an officer in the face, causing a cut to the eye and knocked another deputy into a mini refrigerator.
The man continued to resist officers. He was asked to get on his stomach, which he did, was handcuffed and resisted and attempted to break free when he was being escorted to a patrol vehicle. Bail: $3,637.
— A 43-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 3:53 p.m. in the area of Winnie and Division for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI, open container and illegal window tint. Bail: $1,441.
— A 36-year-old Gardnerville woman, Jamielynn Louise Rose, was arrested Saturday, 8:30 p.m. in the 3000 block of South Carson Street for felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. During an investigation a purse was found to contain around 1/10 of a gram of heroin and tinfoil. Bail: $3,637.
— A Carson City woman was arrested Saturday, 5:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Village Drive for a misdemeanor warrant issued March 29, 2017. Bail: $1,000.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man was booked into Carson City Jail on Monday, 12:15 a.m. for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued March 29, 2017. Bail: $2,500 cash only.
