Sean Slamon was sworn in Friday as Carson City’s new fire chief at the Carson City Fire Department Station 51 administration building on Stewart Street.
Slamon replaces Robert Schreihans, who retired Feb. 1 after more than three decades of public service with the Carson City Fire Department. Schreihans had served as fire chief for two years.
Slamon, a veteran firefighter with 29 years of experience in the profession, was selected a month ago by Carson City. He brings with him more than two years of previous experience as fire chief in Modesto, CA.
