Finding affordable dental care for children can be a challenge. To help with this, the Nevada Health Centers Mobile Dental Services program will be visiting Carson High School and Empire Elementary the week of April 7.
The Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, operated in partnership between Nevada Health Centers and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas, has visited Carson City for many years.
The vehicle people may be used to has a different look but is the exact same vehicle and the same dentist Dr. Alexandrea Wabara and staff that has visited before.
Staff will provide dental services to children ages 0-21 with or without dental insurance coverage. Private insurance, Medicaid, Nevada Check Up are accepted. Children without dental insurance may be supported through generous community grants.
Nevada Health Centers will host Mobile Dental Services at Carson High School Monday, April 7, 1-5 p.m. and Tuesday, April 8, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Later that week, the Mobile Dental Service van will also be at Empire Elementary School on Wednesday and Thursday, April 9-10, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Friday, April 11, 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Nevada Health Centers Mobile Dental Services is a mobile office fully staffed with dentists and assistants, and offers full dental services to children of all ages, including: exams, x-rays, extractions, fillings, cleanings, sealants, restorative services and oral health education.
