A 29-year-old man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of felony robbery and misdemeanor domestic battery, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Following an investigation, CCSO deputies arrested Sabian Christian Harting. According to the booking report, deputies were called to the 1500 block of Rand Avenue for a domestic battery. Dispatch advised the reporting person observed a female being dragged by her hair outside.

The suspect appeared intoxicated and had an odor of alcohol coming from his person. Other deputies arrived and spoke with the victim. The suspect stated that he was asleep and when he woke up, noticed the woman had sent herself $90 from his bank account to her account. He said that she left the residence with her purse and said he followed her, stopped her and took her purse, according to the report.
The suspect said that he took the purse and threw it back in the house. The deputy asked if anything physical happened between him and the woman. He said no. The deputy asked him how he took her purse. He said he had just taken it, the report states.

— A 29 year old Carson City man was arrested Sunday for suspicion of domestic battery second offense, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Deputies were dispatched to the 3400 block of South Carson Street for a domestic battery in which the suspect had left the scene in a pickup. Dispatch stated he had told the reporting party that he would be spending the night at a hotel.
While enroute to the South Carson Street residence, the suspect vehicle was located near the corner of East 8th and South Plaza. A deputy arrived at the location where the suspect was detained.
Deputies met with the victim and advised she had visible wounds to her hands and face. A deputy interviewed the suspect and asked him what happened. He stated he was going to jail. The deputy asked him why. He stated he and the woman had been arguing and that he had already been convicted of domestic battery before, according to the report.
He stated he and the victim were arguing, but would not say whether things became physical nor would he say who the primary physical aggressor was, the report states. He would not look the deputy in the eyes while answering questions and spoke in a low, muffled voice. The deputy’s report notes that in their training and experience, those were signs of untruthfulness.
The man then said he would not say anything else because he didn’t want the woman to go to jail. He stated he did it, but again would not state what he did. The deputy asked if he committed domestic battery and he said yes, the report states.
The report notes the man had small cuts on his hands indicating they were fresh. His hands also appeared to be swollen, which is an indication of a physical altercation, as well as cuts and bruises on his arms, the report states.
Deputies interviewed the victim who stated she and the man began arguing around 3:45 p.m. about his alcohol abuse. She said the man then hit her over the head with a baby gate and pushed her to the ground when she stood back up, the report states.
She said he then kicked her and she hit her head on the floor for a second time. She said the man then followed her around the house, throwing things at her and that is when she developed a cut on her thumb. She said the man then punched the living room TV and walked out of the house, the report states.
She said she then locked the door behind the man as he left. She said the man then tried to re-enter the house but all the doors were locked, so he then broke in through the doggy door. She said once he was inside the house, he shoved her to the ground and began kicking her and holding her against the floor by keeping his foot on her head. She said the man took her phone and wouldn’t allow her to leave. She said the man left after he threw a beer bottle at her but missed. Deputies took photos of the woman’s injuries.
