Carson City area casinos saw February gaming revenue climb 2.71 percent while Tahoe’s south shore recorded the month’s largest gaming revenue gain statewide, with a 32.03 percent increase over February 2017, according to figures released Wednesday by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and other areas of Douglas County except for Stateline recorded a total gaming win of $8,113,244.

Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a 7.68 percent increase in gaming “win” compared to February 2017.

The increase is likely attributed to the Feb. 4 Super Bowl where the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the New England Patriots 41-33.
