The University of Nevada, Reno Extension will be hosting a small scale poultry egg production workshop to teach you how you can get started with poultry, egg production, and keeping your flock healthy. 

“We have an extensive agenda covering many aspects of poultry production, from beginner to experienced,” wrote Jamie Lee of the Extension. “You will see on the agenda we cover many topics including the start up costs and facility needs, financial tools, health, diseases and keeping your flock healthy, nutrition, zoning requirements for Washoe County, regulations and rules for selling eggs, predator control and an important update on the Avian Influenza (bird flu).”
