The University of Nevada Cooperative Extension and Carson City leaders will collaborate to gather input from residents regarding priorities in public services. Faced with shrinking budgets, it is vital that those charged with providing public services know what is important among citizens.
The public input sessions will be at the following Carson City locations:
— Wednesday, March 30, 5:30 p.m. at the Carson City Library, 900 North Roop Street
— Monday, April 4, 5:30 p.m., at the Business Resource and Information Center, 108 East Proctor Street
— Wednesday, April 6, 6 p.m. at the Cooperative Extension, 2621 Northgate Lane Room 12
— Thursday, April 7, 7 p.m., at the Business Resource and Information Center, 108 East Proctor Street
— Monday, April 11, 5:30 p.m. at the Carson City Sheriff’s Office 911 Musser Street in the Ormsby Room
— Wednesday, April 13, 5:30 p.m. at the Carson City Library, 900 North Roop Street
— Thursday, April 14, 7 p.m. at the Business Resource and Information Center, 108 East Proctor Street
At these one-hour sessions, city personnel will explain the various services offered by Carson City to create a positive quality of life. Attendees will be asked to rate the importance of these services to themselves and our community. Attendees will also be asked whether they feel the City is adequately providing these services. While the results of this study will be shared with the Board of Supervisors, individual responses will remain completely confidential.
Carson City residents are invited to be a voice for the quality of life in Carson City. Join us at one of these sessions. Please RSVP to spragginst@unce.unr.edu, or call the Carson City Cooperative Extension Office at 887-2252 to register to attend.
