Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called Sunday morning to a two vehicle collision in the area of Livermore Lane and South Edmonds Drive.

Dispatch was alerted to the crash at 10:41 a.m. and there was reportedly air bag deployment. Also, one of the vehicles involved was on fire but was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived, according to dispatch.

Carson City Fire Department first responders arriving on scene checked for those involved for injuries. One person was taken by ground ambulance to the hospital. First responders said the two vehicles experienced moderate to major damage from the collision. Tow trucks have been ordered.

Southbound Edmonds Drive was closed off due to the crash, according to CCSO. Motorists can expect delays.
