The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is proud to announce a groundbreaking and exciting Initiative: for the first time ever, deputies were allowed to grow facial hair as part of a three-month long fundraising event benefiting the Boys & Girls Club of Carson City. The event started in December of 2024 and will end Wednesday, March 19, 2025, with a “shave off event.”
The “shave off event” will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada, 1870 Russell Way, Carson City. The event begins at 4 p.m. The Carson City Deputy Association as well as the Carson City Supervisor Association are proud to announce that a hefty donation will be donated the the Boys and Girls Club of Western Nevada.
As well as the donation part of the event will be the shave off. The East 50 Barbershop will be assisting in the “shave off event” by providing there expertise as well as supplies needed for the children to shave the deputies beards off.
