Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of March 16-22 provided by the public works department: Due to an ongoing water main project, there will be lane shifts on Roop Street at the intersection with Washington Street between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays.
In addition, access into the Community Center and Aquatic Center parking lot off of Roop Street will be severely limited or not available at all at times.
On Tuesday, March 17, there will be a traffic shift on N. Lompa Lane just south of the intersection with Northridge Drive/Carmine Street.
Dan Street between Peters and N. Fall Streets will be closed to traffic Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All driveways will be accessible.
Beginning Monday, March 16, the Carson City Landfill will begin to upgrade the approaches to the scales at its entrance. The inbound scale will be closed. All weighing of both inbound and outbound traffic will be done on one scale. Please use caution when entering and expect some delay.
The following sidewalk closures will be in place for the entire week:
— The north side of Musser Street between Division Street and Minnesota Street.
— The east side of Minnesota Street between Musser Street and Proctor Street.
— The north side of Proctor Street between Curry Street and Carson Street.
