Need a little Joy in your life? Catmandu’s cat of the week may be just what you are looking for.

Meet Joy, a super sweet long haired black kitty. This petite little bundle of love is hoping for a person and home to call her own. Joy is happiest when sitting in your lap, snuggling, getting pet and purring. She is one of several beloved cats that became homeless when their person suffered a massive stroke and later passed away.

She came to Catmandu with a mouth full of decayed and rotting teeth. Thanks to Dr Sean and All Creatures Mobile Vet Hospital, all the bad teeth were removed and she eats without pain once again. At eleven years-old, Joy is in good physical health and has several years of love and life left, as cats live an average of 15-20 years.

Sweet Joy is a perfect candidate for Catmandu’s senior-to-senior foster program. This program places senior cats with senior citizens age 55+. The cat lives with you and for all intents and purposes is your cat. The difference is that if something happens and you’re no longer able to care for your cat, it can return to Catmandu. And, if the cat develops any health issues, Catmandu provides veterinary care and homeopathy. This program is a win-win for all.

If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet cuddle bug, please consider Joy. Come by Catmandu this weekend to meet her and the rest of our kitties at 1829 Brown Street. Our regular hours are Friday – Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Currently Catmandu has over 80 cats waiting for homes. If you have room in your heart and home for one of our sweet kitties, please consider adoption, or if you would like to help by volunteering or by making a much-needed donation, please go to: https://catmanducc.org. We appreciate your helping us continue to care for Carson City’s orphaned, homeless, and abandoned kitties. Meow means thank you.
